Sunday Morning Service @ 10:15 am

Our Sunday morning service led by Pastor Mike Gray begins at 10:15 am and will last until about 11:30 am.

Once you arrive at Newington Baptist Church, you will be welcomed by a community of people that are genuinely excited to see you.

We have greeters stationed at each of the entrances to hand out bulletins for the service and help you find your way to the Sanctuary. The bulletin contains  information about what is happening in the church as well as what to expect during the service. As you identify yourself as a first time guest the greeters will gladly hand you a gift and some information about Newington.

Along with our greeters, our welcome center is staffed with people willing to point you in the right direction. There’s also coffee and tea available in case you need some help waking up!

If you desire to place your children under the age of 4 in one of our nursery classrooms, then our welcome center can guide you to the right place.

If you have children between the ages of 4 and second grade, you have the option of your children remaining with their family throughout the worship time or the children are welcome to join in KidzWorship. They begin in the Sanctuary for a time of song and learning and are released midway through the morning service.

Our congregation is made up of all age ranges, from the brand new baby to our cherished 101 year old Mr. Hall. We love being inter-generational. Because of this, our church tends to have a relaxed and traditional atmosphere. You’ll quickly notice that people are dressed in a variety of attire from dresses and dress shirts to jeans and tennis shoes. We hope you’ll come in what you’re most comfortable in! For worship, is not about the clothes, but the heart for the Lord.

The Sunday morning service includes a mix of praise songs and traditional hymns, and the congregation is encouraged to sing as led by the worship team.

Pastor Mike teaches textual based Biblical sermons, which are focused on  explaining the truth of God's Word in context, always proclaim the gospel , and are for the understanding and application of the Biblical message personally and for mission.

If you have a prayer need or pastoral questions, the pastors and deacons are available for you at the close of each service. You can make your way to the front of the sanctuary and talk with one of them, or speak to them as you exit one of the sanctuary doors.

Newington Baptist Church is filled with people who genuinely love the Lord and are eager to fulfill the mission of the church.

We provide time before, during, and after the service for interaction because we believe that Jesus is made visible by how we love one another. Our time of conversation and fellowship is cherished among our members, and we look forward to getting to know you, too!
