Newington Courthouse Preschool
Spring is in full swing and even though the temperatures are still a little on the cool side, the children have already shed jackets and coats and donned the tee shirts and short pants. They are now ready for the outdoor world and all the neat stuff that goes with it...and school may not be a part of their three and four year old plans! Their parents, however, have different ideas and it will be our job to keep them interested in the classroom and all it has to offer for a few more months. Wish us luck!
The first three days of this month will find us readying ourselves for our Easter Celebrations and Egg Hunts. Heather King will visit our four year olds to help them better understand the true meaning of Easter. Pastor Mike will visit the three and four year olds and he, too, will help the chil-dren with their understanding of this special season. Spring break will begin after our celebration on April 3rd, and school will reopen on Monday, April 13th.
This month the four year olds will study Good Nutrition, farming and Farm Animals, continue working with numbers, the alphabet, recognizing color words and working on learning their address-es.
The three year olds will continue with the alphabet and numbers, the five senses, the concepts of thick/thin, hot/cold and inside/outside. Both classes will be practicing daily for their spring program to be held Monday, May 11th, at 7:30 PM.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we prepare to put the finishing touches on an-other school year.
Registrations are now being accepted for the 2015-2016 School Year. For more information, call the school at 693-7627 or church office at 693-2349.
